Utilizes moist heat packs to provide heat to the areas of your body that are being treated. Adding the heat packs along with your massage helps to increase blood flow which relaxes the muscles, reduces pain, and promotes healing. This allows the massage therapist to work deeper and specific to the affected area. Adding heat packs to your massage can be used in combination with deep tissue massage and for relaxation. Other massage types can be used upon request. Available for 60-minute and 90-minute massage sessions.

We are all composed of energy. In Reiki energy healing the practitioner fills themselves with the energy around them and channels it to the client through their hands. This aims to enhance the client’s own healing abilities, induce relaxation and reduce pain. Depending on their level of openness and their rapport with the practitioner, each client may experience this differently. Often, it can be described as a tingling yet soothing sensation where the practitioner’s hands heat up to soothe tension and impart relaxation. For Reiki practitioners Reiki generally flows through their hands whenever they perform any type of healing work.

Shiatsu Massage provides a form of acupressure where the massage therapist applies pressure by using their fingers, thumbs, palms, elbows and knees to acupressure points (tsubo) along energy pathways (meridians) that correspond with the body’s vital organs. This imparts relaxation and pain relief by balancing the body’s energy flow (qi). Stretching, rocking and mobilization is also included with Shiatsu.
Light touch moves excess lymph and fluid out of the tissues and back into lymphatic vessels. Excellent for conditions such as edema and boosting the immune system.

Thai massage is ideal for clients in search of a more energizing massage experience. Affectionately dubbed “lazy man’s yoga”, this approximately 2,500-year-old art form is traditionally performed fully clothed on a padded mat, but can be performed on the table. The client wears loose and comfortable clothing such as sportswear to facilitate the assisted poses, stretches and compressions. The practitioner uses forearms, elbows, knees and feet to increase flexibility, energy (by opening the body’s energy/sen lines) and improve postural alignment. A much sought after modality due to its multitude of benefits, we are proud to be among the few in the area to offer this unique therapy.

Trigger Point Therapy
Incorporate this technique in any massage to relax and relieve the sore knots that refer pain to other parts of the body. Finger pressure is applied around and on these knots, starting slowly until the knot “invites you in”.
A nurturing massage where the mother to be is specially bolstered and positioned to ensure her comfort. This reduces pregnancy swelling and stress on feet, ankles, lower back and neck. We only perform pregnancy massage after the first trimester.

A therapeutic and relaxing massage that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. This massage is the perfect choice for clients with ailments such as chronic back pain, neck and shoulder pain, repetitive strain injuries, sciatica and muscle tension or spasms.
The tissue is warmed before slowly going deeper, and deep tissue can be performed with a variety of pressures (to your comfort level) to break down adhesions and knots, the painful rigid tissue caused by tension.
Particularly tense areas may experience some discomfort during the massage, and your body may feel like it does post-workout for a day or two afterwards. However, this tends to subside with more frequent massages, and ultimately clients experience extensive and often lasting relief of their symptoms. Ideally, as with any bodywork, this massage should be performed regularly for maintenance and to prevent your body from becoming accustomed to holding itself in a tense state.
